The team behind Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is setting their sights on giving players a satisfying ending.
As popular as the Assassin’s Creed series has become, it has also become infamous for rewarding players with enigmatic, confusing, and sometimes downright weird endings that never really seem to wrap everything up. However, Ubisoft is hoping to break that streak with Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
Earlier today, Assassin’s Creed IV lead writer Darby McDevitt took to Twitter to answer fan questions and he had some good news for those wondering about how convoluted the game’s ending would be.
.@OnlyAster1 AC4BF will definitely have a satisfying ending, but we always leave room for more. So yes, expect at least a small cliff ha-— Assassin's Creed (@assassinscreed) July 18, 2013
He was careful to clarify that, while ACIV’s ending won’t wrap everything up entirely, he and his team are still aiming to deliver a satisfying ending much like the ending to Assassin’s Creed Revelations (for which McDevitt was also the lead writer).
.@bas3dbradley Hope so! But with a sense of satisfaction too.— Assassin's Creed (@assassinscreed) July 18, 2013
After the mostly negative reception Assassin’s Creed III received, it’s good to see that Ubisoft is redoubling its efforts to deliver a gaming experience that’s satisfying throughout.
