Dr. Mario and Sonic highlight the downloads this week.

By now, Thursday should signal one thing in your mind and that thing should be the updating of the Nintendo eShop. This week has some classics as well as some interesting downloadable content. Without further delay let’s get right into it.

Fans of 90’s gaming will want to grab one of the games this week and the game I’m referring to is Dr. Mario. You might not know it but the Mushroom Kingdom has a pretty good med school that Mario got into. Use the power of the vitamin to kill the nasty viruses before they reproduce. You can also play two player battles and have two doctors fight to give the perfect prescription and kill those pesky germs. Also available this week is another classic, Clu Clu Land. Join Bubbles as she tries to find all the gold bars that were taken by the Sea Urchins. Your mission is to find all of the gold bars in each level before the urchins get a hold of Bubbles. This is another puzzle game, like Dr. Mario, where you need to use your smarts to get through and have the option to play with a friend as well.

Next of is the Zelda portion of the download, sort of. The download comes in the form of Sonic Lost World paying homage to Zelda with the Legend of Zelda Zone. Sonic dons a Green Tunic and runs around an area inspired by the Legend of Zelda, all while Link flies on his Loftwing above. It could be interesting to see what other games, if any, take a page from Sonic and pays a tribute to classic games like the Legend of Zelda. In addition these downloads, Ubisoft games are on sale this week so fans of the gaming company will want to grab these games while they can.

Also available this week: My Style Studio: Hair Salon( Wii U eShop), Skater Cat( 3DS eShop), I Am An Air Traffic Controller Airport Hero Hawaii( 3DS eShop- Demo and Full), Cube Tactics( 3DS eShop), and I Am In The Movie( 3DS eShop/Dsiware). Enjoy the games everyone!
