IOGEAR KeyMander Controller Emulator Review

The debate between gaming on PC vs console will never die. Some just prefer a keyboard and mouse while others love their controllers. I prefer the keyboard/mouse combo but still enjoy games like Uncharted and Halo. Keyboard Mouse adapters for consoles have been out for a while with mixed success.

Recently, I got hold of the KeyMander controller emulator by IOGEAR.

The idea of using the keyboard-mouse combination is actually a smart one. It makes you feel more in control, ahead of the competition and enjoy the game which is meant to be played with a mouse-keyboard combination and not the other way around.

The KeyMander offers precision. There is a sense of accomplishment if I score first in kills and headshots. With the latest firmware, the KeyMander Controller Emulator works with PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Plug and play make this simple emulator simplifies the setup process. It comes with a KeyMander's PC software that enabled us to customize for more accuracy, customization and control.

Our play style changes depending on the game. Just look at all the different controller styles from Green Thumb to Southpaw. With the KeyMander, we can each create custom profile to help us to take control of each game we played. Setup can be quick but if I were to count the time spent tuning the profile, I must have spent 20-30 minutes.

List of customization options:
* You can create groups of different games for a profile to work. Really handy when I play genre games such as FPS.
* You can also do some macro programming, do some mouse speed adjustments, custom key mapping and much more.
* HotKeys can also be setup for better gaming experience.

The KeyMander emulator is an impressive piece of hardware that is compatible with all the current generation and past generation consoles. With this tool, you can plug in the keyboard and mouse and create the best gaming experience possible.
