Is this arcade style baseball game worth your download? Find out in our review!

The sounds of spring are here. Birds are chirping, children are playing, and bats are cracking baseballs out of the ballpark. With spring comes America’s Pastime. Baseball season is in the air and Konami debuts a new mobile game that attempts to capture the worldly feel of baseball. WBC Power Pro Baseball Classic is a new mobile baseball game with an arcade appeal. Does the game capture the spirit of the game? Find out in our review!

The presentation of WBC Power Pro Baseball is that of nostalgia. The game presents itself as an arcade game using it as an excuse for the disappointing graphics the game provides. There is nothing redeeming about the graphics of this game. All players look the same as well as the stadiums. The sprites used in the game seem incomplete. The entire look of the game looks like an unfinished build. The gameplay is not any better.

While pitching is fun, nothing else is worth doing.

While the game claims to have all 16 WBC Teams and over 400 of the world’s best players in the game, everything still seems vague. The teams and players included in the game have no personality. There is nothing defining or distinguishable about the players in the game. This is disappointing considering the star power that the WBC has.

The thrill of baseball involves catching a pop fly or gaining an RBI for your team. The thrill of playing a baseball game is the ability to do these things through gameplay. WBC Power Pro Baseball does not provide that experience.  Most of the outfield actions happen automatically and it is beyond easy to hit every pitch thrown. While there is some fun to be had when pitching and deciding what types of pitches to throw, the gameplay is basically a dumbed down version of tee ball. No thought is needed while playing WBC Power Pro Baseball Classic.

The game has attempts a worldly feel but lacks personality.

WBC Power Pro Baseball Classic is a complete waste of space on your mobile device. While pitching has its fun moments, there is nothing else redeeming about this game. The graphics are terrible and the gameplay is beyond simple. This is one game that is definitely not worth your download.
