Ubisoft is bringing out an update (0.10.0 update) to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online today. The update brings new modes to the game, such as the Holdout game mode and new maps. The game also has improved game play as well. The update coincides with the Triton Pack which has several naval themed items such as avatars and weapons. The Holdout game mode will have players fighting over a single capture point, set in the middle of the map. Take that area over and keep it until time runs out, similar to capture the flag.
Balaklava Sub Pen Map is also part of this update. The map was made for the Holdout game mode and is based on the underground submarine facility in Ukraine that isn’t operational anymore. With only a single capture point, this gives players of all skill levels a chance to succeed. Clan Matches are also part of this update. You’ll be able to have custom matches against other clans.
Theo Sanders, the Ghost Recon Producer said “We’re really excited about the 0.10.0 update. The Holdout mode and the Balaklava Sub Pen map offer new tactical challenges and experiences to the community, and decking out your Ghost in the new Triton gear makes them look awesome. We’re also keeping our promise to the community with the introduction of the Clan Match feature. Fighting alongside your clan mates and friends, challenging another clan; social competition is such an integral part of the GRO experience, and this feature goes a long way towards fueling this experience.
