En Masse Entertainment has confirmed that TERA, the MMO that has won its share of awards, will be subscription free starting February 5th. The game will be now be known as TERA: Rising and there will be an in-game store where you can upgrade your characters as well as upgrading their game play experience. It appears that old fans of the game are running back and new fans are jumping on board for the first time.
En Masse is also going to bring out new in-game material on February 5. The Crucible of Flame multi-level dungeon and a new three-on-three PvP battleground will be available in recognition of the game becoming subscription free. There will be three statuses the player can be, Standard, Founder, and Elite. Standard players can access to all the in-game content with zero restrictions for two free characters pre server. They will also have access to the in-game store in an “a la carte” capacity.
Founder is given to everyone who is a current subscriber on Feb. 5th. They are provided addition in-game items and keep those benefits regardless of what status they decide to go with. You can also buy your way to Founder status through sold retail packs. Elite status offers in-game bonus benefits such as dungeon bonuses and more quests to go on. Elite status can be bought in 30 day increments. Through everything the Elite status gets you in-game, it more than pays for itself. TERA: Rising goes subscription free Feb. 5th so be ready to enjoy the game then, for free!
