S2 Games announced an update for their Massive Online Battle Arena or MOBA game, Heroes of Newerth. The update is available to download to PC/Mac/Linex and the update brings more to the table, such as user-designed bots. The update appears to make easier for the first timers to ease into the HoN (Heroes of Newerth) world. You will also be able to learn the basics in the Learnatorium and watch videos and pick up new skills.
“HoN is almost three years old now and we are continuing to invest and improve the game,” said Marc DeForest, CEO of S2 Games. “We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a tremendous player base that’s helped to grow the game to where it is today. The 3.0 update is a serious step forward as we look towards a bright future in 2013.”
The game has undergone some graphic modifications as well. Character faces has been given a new HD look and feel to them. Also some locales have been redesigned such as the Forests of Caldava. It also has added AI bots for the players to fight and you can mod them so you can basically train against any enemy you see fit. The referral system has been changed as well and now is easier to recruit your friends or get them started in the game. The Referral program will have out of game incentives, such as a trip to HoN Finals in Vegas. This and the ability to report players who are being a problem shows S2 is committed to making this game the best it can and should be.
