Sony has their big presentation a week away and they aren’t sparing any expense. Let’s face it; they have been gearing up for this presentation for months now.

Sony has their big Playstation presentation only a week away and they aren’t wasting anytime setting up the hype machine. Let’s face it; they have been hyping this announcement for weeks now. Sony has decided to go all out with this announcement many speculating will be the Playstation 4’s official announcement.

One of the examples of Sony not pinching pennies on this reveal is that they( Sony) has reserved the Hammerstein Ballroom in good old New York City for this “big" announcement. This event is invite only and combine that with the size of the hall where the announcement is going to take place is reassuring people that the announcement will be pertaining to the PS4.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has held such events as concerts by Jane’s Addiction and Korn as well as several other non-music events. The Ballroom can hold up to 2,800 people and for this event, you can probably guarantee there will be standing room only areas as well. This event is being compared to an E3 like atmosphere and should have the internet buzzing February 20th at 6PM.

Could this be the sign that Playstation fans have been waiting for? Will this be the signal that the next generation of gaming has started? This should be a no brainier that the event is going to be the PS4 reveal. What will the outcry be if this is just some way to compete with what Nintendo has been doing with their Nintendo Direct online presentations? Only time will tell what’s in store for Sony. If this goes off without a hitch, then Sony could be on the up rise. If they screw it up, then Sony will be freefalling fast. Should be interesting to see what happens in a week.
