Return to Johto!
Two of the most beloved games in the Pokémon series, Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version, are now available in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS for only $9.99 each.
These classic games were originally released on the Game Boy Color system and introduced notable features to the long-running franchise. Staples like day/night cycles, Pokémon Eggs, and Steel-type and Dark-type Pokémon that every Pokémon fan knows and loves actually made their debut in Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version.
Fans love the Pokémon native to Johto. In fact, many of the 100 Pokémon introduced in these games make appearances in modern Pokémon games, including the upcoming Pokkén Tournament DX for Nintendo Switch. When you battle with Scizor in Pokkén Tournament DX, you'll be playing with a Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version.
These new versions of Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version add some fun features that weren't included in the original games. Completing your Pokédex is made easier with local wireless trading and battling between Nintendo 3DS systems. The games will also be compatible with Poké Transporter and Pokémon Bank in the future.
