Rantmedia Games is bringing the ‘80s back to life with Vectrex Regeneration for Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the home gaming system, the new iOS platform will feature four brand new titles for free. Vectrex Regeneration will still allow gamers to play every Vectrex title which came out with the machine, however it will now also have new titles that were never released with the original console.

Vectrex Regeneration already has independent developers Ville Krumlinde and Fury Interactive signed on with several more joining in the next two weeks. New titles currently placed in the app are Thrust by Ville and Continuum, Vector 21, War of the Robots by Fury. As new developers continue to create games more free and paid titles will be available soon. War of the Robots has players as one of the very few survivors that are holding on to life. They are surrounded by the bleak, desolate horizon, with rations in short supply and the only other activity of the landscape is that of the incoming robot attack. InThrust players have to infiltrate the Intergalactic Empire's planets and steal resources to prevent them using their starships to launch an offensive against their resistors.
Vectrex Regeneration is the only authentic Vectrex experience on iOS and will allow gamers to play every Vectrex title which came out with the machine, plus new ones still being developed. Just like the original Vectrex, the app comes with Minestorm, though every timeless Vectrex title published will eventually be available for purchase. At launch 18 titles will be ready with the rest of the original 29 coming quickly afterwards.
